Vocations

The Anglican church in the Diocese of St Davids is a Christian community which seeks to be "service shaped".

We need followers of Christ’s way to be Servants:

  • Servants for Christ
  • Servants for his Church
  • Servants for his people

God calls all his people to Christian service.

What is your particular calling?

Someone might have already commented about a particular skill of yours which God could use in his church.

St Davids needs Christians to serve as:

  • a presence in the work-place
  • Community Volunteers
  • Church Officers
  • Eucharistic Assistants
  • Prayer Partners
  • Lesson Readers and Interceders in worship
  • Worship Leaders
  • Musicians
  • Lay Readers
  • Children and Youth Workers
  • Ministry in a bilingual context
  • Priests (Non Stipendiary)
  • Priests (Stipendiary)

What to do now?

Take time to pray about what you are thinking and feeling. Talk to a trusted friend. Ask others to pray for you - and with you.

Take a look at the Vocations website to find out more and hear first-hand accounts of how you can make a real difference to people's lives.

If you would like to meet with someone to explore God’s call for your life, speak to your vicar and contact a vocations adviser. There is one for each Archdeaconry:
