A SHRINE RESTORED: Turning visitors into pilgrims
The restoration of the mediaeval shrine to St David is complete. It was dedicated by the Bishop of St Davids, Rt Revd Wyn Evans, on St Davids Day.
"The restoration if the Shrine is much more than an aesthetic improvement to the building or an attempt to re-capture its past. It is abgout placing the life of St David and his example of Christian living at the heart of the cathedral and the diocese. The restoration of the Shrine will once more establish this special place as the spiritual heart of the nation." - Very Revd Jonathan Lean, Dean of St Davids
