Spring Fete 2011
A report on the 2011 Fete held on 21st May.
Event Details
The planning and preparation for the annual Fete starts at the turn of the year with the workload increasing significantly in the week before, when all the Marquees and Awnings have to be erected.
The event and facilities have grown in size and functionality over the years and this has resulted in the takings increasing by nearly 10 times in the past 8 years.

The photograph above shows the church surrounded by the Marquees and Awnings which have been acquired in recent years especially for this event.
A record sum of over £1700 was raised this year, a staggering sum for such a small church in a rural community, and this will be shared between St Kentigern's, Kanzi-Kibera and the church.
The church members would like to thank the local business owners who contributed so generously towards the prizes for the Raffle and the Jazz Band from Rydal School who performed so professionally and enthusiastically in providing the musical entertainment.
Finally the members woud like to thank all the visitors, locals and those from further afield, who supported the event.
