Lent and Easter Events:
On Good Friday there will be the usual Procession of the Cross, from St Winefride's RC Church down to the Corn Exchange, where coffee and hot cross buns will be served, and an ecumenical act of worship is held. We start from St Winefride's at about 11.00 am. There is a service in St Mary's for the Last Hour on the Cross at 2.00 pm, and this will be followed by a children's activity afternoon, making the Easter Garden.
A reminder too that Mothers' Union meets at 2 pm in Church House on the first Tuesday of the month - the first meeting of the New Year will be the annual Epiphany Lunch at the earlier than usual time of 12 noon. On the second and fourth Tuesdays in term-time, we have 'First Steps', for young children with their parents or carers.
