St. Mary's, Trefriw

Trefriw church was founded in 1230 by Llywelyn Fawr and his wife, Joan. Llywelyn Fawr and Joan (known in Wales as Siwan) are portrayed in a stained glass window in the church. Regrettably little of the original church remains due to heavy reconstruction in the 15th 16th and 19th centuries.
