Llangiwg

The Parish of Llangiwg is situated in the Swansea Valley, approximately 6 miles from the M4 motorway. It comprises the areas of Rhydyfro, Ynysmeudwy, Pontardawe, Cilmaengwyn and Mynydd Llangiwg. Services take place in St Peter's Church, High Street, Pontardawe. The River Tawe separates the Parish of Llangiwg and the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon from the Parish of Cilybebyll and the Diocese of Llandaff on our eastern side. On the western side of our Parish, a stream provides the border between ourselves and the Parish of Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen and the Diocese of St David's. To the north of us is the Parish of Ystalyfera and to the south, the Parish of Clydach. Both of these Parishes are in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon. We extend a very warm welcome to anyone visiting the area or locals wishing to explore matters of faith.
