St Cynllo Nantmel

An early celtic site dedicated to St Cynllo situated within an almost oerfect circular Llan high above the village of Nantmel. the church was rebuilt in Victorian times and little of the earlier church remains.

In rotation with other churchs in the Parish Modern Rite Holy Communion.


Other Services

Easter Day (6.00 pm) and Christmas Eve (9.30 pm) are always celebrated with Holy Communion


Notable Features

Although none of the earlier church remains traces of it can be found in the lower parts of the tower and an exposed window inside the church. Of note are the very colourful and intricate Victorian Stained Glass Windows.


Transport

Public Transport from Rhayader to Crossgates does pass through the village of Nantmel during week days but not on a Sunday.
