Monmouth Diocese has a new website:  www.monmouthdiocese.org.uk

Revd Janet Bone, Diocesan Communication Officer, says:

 “We have spent a lot of time designing the site so that people can easily find what they are looking for, whether it is information or inspiration. Users can sign up to RSS feeds to be notified of new press releases, news, events and vacancies in the diocese, and we are linked to the Church in Wales database of churches and clergy, so your parish priest is now only a mouse click away.

“There is a section on prayer which has a range of links to help people create a quiet spot in their day while the ‘Living’ section is about how we are putting our Christian faith into practical action.

“I’m excited by the possibilities which new technology offers for sharing the gospel. The diocese had a website in the early days of the internet, but this was showing its age. The new site has a more flexible structure and will be evolving in the coming months. We welcome all feedback and suggestions - please send this to mdwebmaster@churchinwales.org.uk”

The Bishop of Monmouth, Rt Revd Dominic Walker OGS, who has a reputation in the diocese of being cyber-savvy, says:

“I welcome our new website and congratulate those who have prepared it.  In today’s world, the website is our shop window and communicates what we are about as we seek to serve God, the local community and the wider world.  A website that is lively, colourful and informative reflects a church that is engaging and communicating its message.”
